Okay, maybe that sounds alittle dramatic.

But really though,
I'm finding that as each day goes by, its getting harder for people to be able to express themselves without being criticized for it or put into the same tired stereotypical categories.

They see your skin color & relate you to every racially related stereotype.

They learn which foreign country your parents are from & completely dismiss the fact that you're american.

Ofcourse there's nothing that we can do but be ourselves.

But this shyt is exhausting :snoop:

& yes, I am aware that there are children starving in africa and bigger problems in this world... this post isn't meant to seem greater than those issues.

They see my skin color & relate me to every black stereotype.

They hear my voice & they relate me to every "white-washed" stereotype.

They hear what music I like & they criticize me for that too.

They hear where my parents are from & completely dismiss the fact that i'm american.

Ofcourse there's nothing that I can do but be myself.. which ofcourse I will continue to do because I love who I am more than anything...

It only takes one person to inspire change in this world. Malcome x,Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, were all human beings that desired to see change. And you know what....they made it happen.

Only focus on being the change you would like to see in this world, and the rest will naturally follow.

Stop crying and one yourself. Get it over with. You're gonna die in a little while, why wait?

I clearly stated that I love myself more than anything.. But if killing myself is the only option that you see then that says a lot of how you truly feel about yourself.

& because you have no intention other than trolling on people's threads, you CLEARLY misread the whole concept of my thread.

Good day sir :obama:

You have two choices: Either deal with it and persevere despite the adversity, or, cry about it on a message board where no one cares.

Peace.

damn, just had a discussion to my brother about this. I totally understand where your coming from. In society, people treat us like there is no such thing as a diverse black man from different backgrounds and such....even white people but especially black people. Read some of the comments in the post below and you'll feel where me (and some others) are coming from. We gotta change the mentality of black men in america. It's changing slowly but it is happening
