post-territories, theres really only been 5 to 10 legit draws.

this isn't boxing where you purchase a fight that just-so-happens to have an undercard. selling a wrestling show is a communal effort 90-95% of the time. from the roster as a whole, all the way up to the front office & management to the overall product.

ive purchased or attended plenty of shows where I gave two sh*ts about the main event. but when I read about these shows, I'm being told that I purchased it to see X wrestler & Y opponent.

chit is stupid. unless youre a game-changer or some sort of serious needle-mover, I'm not mentioning the word "draw" when speaking about you.

I think being a draw is a huge part of pro wrestling but I guess 2017 WWE wouldn't know :francis:

I think you're confusing the concept of someone being a major draw with the concept of just drawing, which any wrestler that has any fans at all has some drawing power. People are buying their merch and want to see them = they are drawing.

I get that

but I'm talking about the idea of creditin the success of a entire event or a whole company to a singular wrestler or match that gets top-billing.

Its an entirely different sport. Wrestlers are generally featured on tv weekly and constantly marketed while boxing is marketed from fight to fight. The business structure isnt anywhere near the same to make a comparison
