yeah floyd has crazy antics sometimes, but at least people that say they hate him, respect him because of his skill, people that hate on broner don't respect him...broner is no where near as skilled as floyd

but thats not the main difference, its the determination..floyd doesn't underestimate his opponets, and takes fighting and training seriously..

i cant say the same for broner

Floyd has an understanding through years of experience, anything can happen in that ring, anybody can get hit with a good shot and it could all end in a flash.

Floyd prepares himself accordingly. Floyd does not drink or smoke weed. and he stays in fight shape all year round. He does not get distracted, That is alot of discipline that Broner does not have as of yet or may never have.

Let's just keep it 100 here...

Floyd NEVER had antics on the (ignorance) level of Broner. People talk about Broner trying to bite Floyd's style, and while I think he looks at Floyd as a role model clearly, Broner is just an arrogant ass mufukka PERIOD. People that recollect on his early amateur career when he was a teenager talk about how he always acted like this, and that's before any Mayweather affiliation. Really, the comparisons to Floyd have always been overblown.

Oh please...

Floyd and Broner are seen as one (i.e. two black boxers, that are arrogant, flashy, cocky etc that need to be humbled).

If Floyd was respected then why is he booed at every fight? Rather than appreciating his greatness why is he frequently described as a cherry picker, coward, chicken etc

If he is respected why do whites, latinos and asians call him 'boring' but scrutinize his every move and plot on his downfall?

Its the same song and dance with every dominant black boxer fighter and you see this shyt in MMA too (i.e. Jon Jones, Rashad, Silva etc)....

I agree 100% with this, at least as it relates to my personal feelings about the two.

Floyd can be cocky at times however, I still love Floyd because despite that he respects the sport and his opponents after a fight. He doesn't continue the shyt talking after the fight like Broner did after the Paulie fight. He also doesn't do things like flush money down the toilet outside of the ring. He is a whole other level of obnoxious where he is simply not just an unlikable fighter but an unlikable person. In my opinion. Like someone else said, I usually always root for a black fighter because boxing always seems to be a racially divisive sport, but i simply do not like Broner. Thati s not even talking about how he was combative with his corner this fight or his lack of ability to adjust after getting hit with the same overhead right over and over again this fight.

The way Floyd flaunts his money is pretty obnoxious and ignorant. He may not have flushed it down the toilet but showing off all the time is just as bad.

Most of yall already said it but it's simple Money May puts 110% no mater who he's fighting in the gym. AB is still young and takes a lot for granted by slacking in the gym. Now he got his wake up call. Is he going to man up? or is he going to fold like a little boy. We will see in the rematch.

Also, I'll say this even though I'm sure there are some that disagree...

A lot of the shyt Floyd does (and really, it's mostly shyt he DID, because he's not as flashy as he once was, and only really is THAT kinda flashy around 24/7 time) is for show and more to build the "character" he plays... I think this Broner shyt is who he IS. I'm not of the belief that it's something he's putting on, I think he's as arrogant and ignorant as he's portrayed.

And as far as them as fighters, Floyd is just a better fighter than Broner. He's more naturally talented, more skilled, works harder, has a better pedigree... Broner was simply never on Floyd's level and it's hard for me to believe that he ever could have been or will be.

Even though he BEGS for it, I don't think the comparison was ever a fair one for Broner.

Floyd had similar tendencies, Floyd was way too turnt up about 3 years ago. His prison stay really humbled him outside the ring. He realized how quickly things can be taken away and how it will affect his kids. You get wiser with age and experience.

alotta what floyd does is for show, i have alotta affiliations with las vegas, and from my peeps out there, and anyone whose in vegas regularly to be honest, floyd is a solid stand up dude to his fans. dudes very generous wid tips, takes pics, chats it up, and is in general from what ive heard a pretty reserved nice guy.

all the money throwing, worldstar, hoes, etc is for the cameras. maybe part of it is his persona. but hes jus flossin heavy. its not real a$$hole shyt like broner does.

and in the ring and gym theres no comparison. floyd is by all accounts, the hardest working man in boxing. his workouts and sparrin sessions are legendary. hes been puttin the "time" in the gym and ring for over a dozen years now, hes earned everything he has.

besides being two rich black boxers, there is nothing similar to flyd and broner. floyd is the real deal.

and this is coming from one of the biggest floyd haters there is. im a pac fanboy to the death.

Floyd takes his craft very serious, Broner doesn't yet! Nobody feels bad for Broner so hopefully he learns from this and sorts it out.

The Passage of Time
What everyone fails to realize, Floyd perceived arrogance started right before the De La Hoya fight, around the same time he went from Pretty Boy Floyd to Money Mayweather. Pretty boy Floyd was supremely confident and handle his business. The metamorphosis into Money May around the inception of 24/7 to show he was an equivalent to De La Hoya as far as PPV.

Still, Floyd antics were calculated and only done in the vein of promotion. He was perceived as the bad guy and that sold fights.

A. Broner is an all out clown 24/7, were one would think he's mentally challenged.

Floyd said in interviews that he only burned counterfeit money.
