TED’S BLOG: Our Opportunities
May 21, 2012 By Ted DiBiase Jr
Hello and welcome! This is the official Ted DiBiase Foundation website. I wanted to share in this first blog just how excited I am about the possibilities and opportunities that we have to make life long impacts in the lives of critically ill and disabled children and individuals, young teens and future leaders, and those who may feel there is no hope. BUT, there is hope!
I believe one of the most incredible acts of man kind is when disaster strikes, we see people drop everything, come together and meet the needs of those hurting and in need. Well, the truth is, there is need all around us, all the time.
I have been blessed by God with an amazing opportunity to live my dream and travel the world performing in front of millions of fanatic WWE fans! I am currently a WWE “superstar”. For me, that word “superstar” doesn’t carry much weight as I see myself more as a “superblessed” individual that gets to dress up in a costume, much like a “superhero”, and live out his dream on TV’s all around the world! I am truly humbled when I think about people all around the world knowing who I am because I wrestle for the WWE. But I also realize that I have been given a platform. WWE broadcasts in more than 145 countries and 30 languages and reaches more than 600 million homes worldwide!
All the time I think to myself, “What if all the WWE Universe pulled together to make a difference in people’s lives who are, in some form or fashion, less fortunate, hurting or just in need?” This is an incredibly HUGE platform and opportunity!! What if… TDF generated world wide participation?! What if… The WWE fans became more talked about than the superstars, because they came together for something bigger than entertainment?! I am blessed to do what I love, but I also believe there is more to life than executing a job- wether you are a salesman, teacher, coach, doctor, retail analyst, lawyer, contractor, janitor or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson himself! I’ve got ONE life to live, ONE story to tell… What will they say about me when my life is over? How will my new son, Tate, describe me to his friends, wife and children if something were to happen to me tomorrow and my time here was up?? How will they describe you and your life?
If you would like to be apart of changing lives with the Ted DiBiase Foundation, join our team! I want to continue living my dream and taking care of my family, but I also want to make a positive difference in the world and leave a legacy that my son and those I leave behind will be proud to talk about. Join our team!! Send in your donations!! Spread the word!! Let’s do some good in a place where so much focus is on the bad. God bless you all.
God’s Glory,
Ted DiBiase
