Moriarty kinda needs this to make his character more compelling, give him a story arc where he starts to be molded by Danielson but then he realizes who he is and turns against his teacher and former stable mates because he's more of an independent thinker than someone like Daniel Garcia or whoever tf else Danielson named
So what AEW did with Hangman and the Elite?
Or with Dante and Team Taz?
That trope is all they ever do. TBH it'd be more compelling if he joined and stayed and became the 'Ace Student'. Everyone sees the swerve coming - only way to swerve them now is to not. And Danielson's stable legit just following dude because he's that damn good and because being afoul of him is pointless is much more compelling to be at this point.
That being said... bruh. Pete Dunne is direly needed for Danielson Dojo as a stable. shyt would be flames. And if there was anyone who should do the 'break out from the group and challenge the leader' arc... it's Dunne v Danielson. shyt would be a good match, but moreover, would make complete sense.
Hell. Bring in Regal to be the shadowy 'power behind the throne' type. Ain't even gotta be regularly - just occasional appearances to let it be known he's there. Then have Garcia or someone bust out the Regal Stretch

I disagree with you on Hangman though, that was a totally different story. Dante and Team Taz was an attempt at doing this type of story but I guess it felt apart cause Lio Rush was leaving?
