I'm alive. I'm recovering from. COVID-19. I was on a ventilator for two weeks. I contracted the virus after not taking it seriously enou--
Nah, I'm lying, shorty on my mind. 
Actually, I couldn't log in for almost a week and I realized I didn't really miss this place. And since there is no refuge from endless Coronavirus discussion/debate on the internet I didn't want to deal with that plus the Coli's usual lack of nuance and perspective. To be fair, it's everywhere right now.
I've been across the country just observing and staying informed. Drawing my own conclusions. It's serious business no doubt just be careful about making it ALL about the big scary virus. We can learn a lot of lessons from this crisis......though I'm almost certain we won't.
For the record I still don't agree with the oversized response but looking at the entire situation, it was the only option we had left. It's not sustainable though so hopefully they have something else in the pipeline. We can't do this for every emerging infectious disease.
Anyway, stay safe and healthy. Social distance and all that but don't let the Internet Karens and concern trolls shame you away from enjoying a few moments of normalcy here and there.
Oh, I still won't be back for awhile. Someone just told me y'all thought I might be dead. You all aren't so fortunate.
Also, make sure your mental state is good, then make sure the mental state of your loved ones are good as well. This isn't as easy as some people are making it.
