ghettoManga: Blake Lethem speaks on the BIRTH of MF DOOM

pretty interesting however ive met dudes like this :snoop: @ him dissing the wu and calling it comercial, I was like just comment on how you came up with his look you dont speak for doom, you saying that is creating this paradox of you calling people biters, yet you yourself admit that your artistic ideas were already unoriginal to begin with

fukk you i know these type of people, snarky hip hop heads that listen to the nerdiest sh1t out there, that give hip hop a bad name. I want to hear about the creative process that went into the doom persona not his thoughts on what kmd or mf doom could or couldnt have been

first of all, dude is wrong on the kung fu shyt. black b*stards never even came out. wu tangs demo was out already done before 93, the kung fu theme was in place before KMDs album dropped. Doom is an originator but sayin doom predated wu/rza by years and just some hipster false flagging

that's what I was thinking. it was all around the same time. I think he was a little confused cause he was talking about Mr Hood, but then brought up a song from BB

I always thought Prince Paul was the first dude to really use random crazy samples in his music like cartoons, movies, etc.... Then the RZA did it in a darker way....

in some interview Doom was talking about some old radio show in NY where they did a lot of that stuff. Paul was definitely an innovator. and the brothers Dumile did some innovative stuff on Mr Hood
