Ive watched it 3 times since hbo started airing it, and each time I can't believe how bad it was. Brad Pitt is usually more selective.

Didn't Cormac McCarthy write the script? He's one of the greatest American writers (he wrote the book that No Country For Old Men is based on) ever, and that's not even an exaggerated statement. So when I heard that+the cast I was like sheeit this is gonna be classic...

It was the writing, plain & simple. The acting & direction was fine. The movie needed a better script.

ridley scott is hit and miss

dude must be emo or something, most directors are consistent

Bish is way past her prime. Face all wrinkled and sh1t and she has zero ability to play a dramatic role.

Penelope Cruz needs to avoid English speaking roles. Her and Sofia Vergara.

It just takes a little getting used to Cormac's affected dialogue. It's not natural, but it's not supposed to be either. The movie is vile, and brutal. As close to Peckinpah as you'll see in this day and age.

The story sucked too. Ruth wanted him to get her son out, then they blame him? It was all so senseless. Then didn't they get their dope back? The story was just all over the place
