The guy who starred in this, I knew him (Qu'ran Pender). He played ball at Cornell, then got caught up in a drug deal and is still in prison. I still can't believe he blew his life the way he did.

Yeah I remember they said movie was filmed in a very limited time, for some reason I think it was filmed over a weekend. They were throwing that out there when the movie was getting dogged before it even got released and Queen Latifah was trying her hardest to

The production company HAS to be front to launder drug money. That would also explain how the first film was able to get big names like Queen Latifah, Danny Glover, and Farrah fukking Fawcett (RIP).
I was going to mention Quran Pender's case, he was involved with Brandon Woodward, the quasi club promoter/drug liason, who was executed in Midtown in late 2012 on camera.....His death revealed the inter state trafficking, kilos bought in LA, shipped to New York through the mail. Apparently, there was a dispute involving either quality or money owed, and Brandon got murdered. Indictments shortly after.
