The Color Out of Space: Nic Cage insanity / Lovecraftian piff

This movie accomplished two things for me:

1. it matches or surpasses the unhinged nic cage of Mandy, and...

2. It’s probably the best and most faithful adaptation of any Lovecraft story.

If this is playing in your area and you enjoy Mandy, Nicolas Cage's acting style, Lovecraft, hell even neon-drenched weirdness a la Nicolas Winding Refn, you should go watch this. I saw it a month ago and thought it was really great. It's already out on Netflix/Amazon Prime/Whatever, so you have no excuse to not watch it if you're at all interested.

Some of the sounds in this movie were legitimately disturbing. The actors that played the older brother and sister were fantastic.

Like Mandy, the sound and cinematography really tie everything together for the plot and “lovecraftian” elements that can always be a little hard to replicate off of the page
