As a current senior in their last semester. What was said at the 39th minute mark is something I've been saying to myself since I walked onto campus my freshman and it still holds true to me today.
With that said, I could have gone w/o all the extremes and reaching they were doing. They definitely have an agenda, the shyt at the end with them trying to get you to signup for their newsletter left a bad taste in my mouth.

It's funny...if you ask the average person do you want to go to college...they will say...yes.
But...if you ask the average person...do you want to spend an average of four years of your life to get a sheet of paper that might very well lead you to economic and financial prosperity, but also might burden you with hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt before you are old enough to legally consume alcohol...effectively runing your life before it starts...most people would say no

What entry level job starts someone at $17/hr (35k/year)?
Whites can skip college in most cases, because they can get most decent paying jobs without one.
But a minority would be a fool to think these standards apply to them. I just hope the wrong people don't get sucked into this rhetoric about college being a waste of time.

Minorities (especially black people) really got no choice but to get a degree in this country. No companies or small time jobs are going to hire us like they do with white people. We don't have those safety nets.
