Ive been listening for about a month now. Appreciate the discussion

@Make it Make Sense is 100% correct about the filabuster.

One thing to add -

The founders never intended for the filabuster to be a part of the process. Majority rule is how a functioning democracy works. One party gets voted into office, they pass the shyt they ran on. The public decides if they like it and votes to keep them in office, or the other party to come in and do the shyt they ran on. That's how it should work. That's how it was designed to work.

The filabuster plays a huge part in why we dont have a functioning democracy, and if it's not removed, the GOP is going to make it more and more difficult for black people to vote and conserve power for a small minority of the country. The filabuster was first used by slave holders to retain their influence and preserve slavery. It's been used 90% of the time to push back against civil rights. It's no coincidence that it went from being use somewhat infrequently to all the damn time when we got our first Black POTUS

It has to go.
