This is one of those movies that I saw as a little kid and thought it was just a fever dream for the longest, until I saw it again as an adult.

My favorite scene was when the modern electronics started singing. It felt perfectly 90’s.

I liked the junk yard
When lampey sacrificed himself
And when the TV saw them get kicked down and was doing everything to save his friends

Blue sedan: I can't take this kind of pressure I must confess one more dusty road would be just a road too long (Read feeling overwhelmed, such as would be people with certain mental disorders or situations in their life causing stress, i.e single mom or even just getting tired in old age )

Chorus: Worthless (speaks for itself)

Pink convertible: I just can't, I just can't I just can't seem to get started. Don't have the heart to live in the fast lane. All that has passed and gone (People often refer to a party life as living in the fast lane. I just can't seem to get started reads like being broken, physically or mentally. This could be exhaustion, depression or a terminal illness. This comes across as someone who once enjoyed life but is now unable to do that due to some sort of infirmity)

Chorus: Worthless

Brown Car: And there ain't nothing YOU can do about it!) Worthless ("You" addresses the audience. This reads that YOU will never be able to escape, death, aging and trials)

Black car: (Pardon me while I panic!) Worthless, worthless, worthless

Red sportscar: I come from KC Missouri And I got my kicks out on Route 66 Every truck stop from Butte to MO. Motown to old Alabama From Texarkana and east of Savannah From Tampa to old Kokomo (Again, this reads like someone who once loved to travel but no longer can)

Chorus: Worthless

Old racecar: I once ran the Indy 500I must confess I'm impressed how I did it I wonder how close that I came Now I get a sinking sensation. I was the top of the line, out of sight; out of mind. So much for fortune and fame. (This reads like someone who loved living a life of fame and fortune but still ended up as forgotten and now must face death. Not even money or fame could save him from this fate)

Texan limousine: Once took a Texan to a wedding, Once took a Texan to a wedding. He kept forgetting, his loneliness letting. His thoughts turn to home and we turned. (This reads like people who either find romance or live lives alone, watching their loved ones get married. Having a home and maybe a family and how even that fades away)

Hearse: I took a man to a graveyard. I beg your pardon, it's quite hard enough. Just living with the stuff I have learned. (This line reads like someone who lived a life of trauma. Perhaps even tilled a man or worked around the dead and how they are ambivalent about death because they live a life of pain)

Chorus: Worthless

Beach station wagon: Once drove a surfer to sunset. There were bikinis and buns, there were weenies. Fellini just couldn't forget. Pico, let's go up to Zuma. Pico, let's go up to Zuma. From Zuma to Yuma the rumor was I had a hand in the lay of the land (This reads like someone who had hobbies they loved and made alot of friends, lived their life to the fullest, so much so they could never forget)

(with Chorus:smile: Get up and go hit the highway (This again addresses the audience. It is saying you better life your life now and have experiences like the above before it is too late)

Saxophone solo Chorus:(Oo-wooh...)

Green pickup I worked on a reservation

Chorus:(Ooh...ooh...)

Green pickup Who would believe they would love me and (with Chorus) leave On a bus back to old Santa Fe?(without Chorus) Once in an Indian Nation I took the kids on the skids where the Hopi(with Chorus) Was happy 'til I heard 'em say..."You're worthless" (This reads like someone who was loved and then abandoned or otherwise cast aside. Like a Divorce or abandoned child)

Furthermore, the fact that the car actually commits suicide rather then letting the magnet get him is a very Human reaction. Alot, of people will commit suicide rather then die of a terminal illness or live a life of pain. This is actually one of Disney's darkest songs. I love this song, don't get me wrong but I wouldn't want my child to hear it. It has very dark messages.
