"The Boondocks" producers did John Witherspoon's son dirty.

This is a half hour version of the original video, which is two hours. Just a couple notes:

-The producers of the show reached out to JD and made it seem like they were offering him the part of Granddad. To him, it was never about money, but about honoring his father and entertaining the fans.

-The producers lied to JD about the audition process, avoided answering him back when he tried contacting them, and chose someone that had a worse audition.

-They are planning to take John Witherspoon's old audio and manipulate it for new dialogue, combining it with the person they hired.

-JD kept getting told about a "higher-up creative" who threatened to leave the show if Granddad's voice wasn't exactly right. The producers said this person was involved in the casting process, but when JD talked to the creative, he found out he was never involved.

-No one on the show has said anything yet because they're afraid of the potential backlash.....which could have been avoided if they just gave JD the job in the first place.

Y'all saw what the fukk they did with that season that didn't feature Arron McGruder at the helm right? Why'd any of y'all expect these cacs in corporate to do any better with this shyt going forward? It would prolly be too much to suggest that Regina King should abandon this ship out of respect since it don't take much to find clips of his son doing a damned good job replicating his pops voice, if these fukkers cared about anything more than collecting money from a show that was popular for reasons that they couldn't give a fukk about past their cut.

shyt's been happening since the days of Red Foxx where producers couldn't give a solitary shyt about the Black Actors in their productions past what they could make 'em do for that paycheque.
