The Boondocks (first two seasons) vs. Black Dynamite (only two seasons)

what yall got?

i think i have to go black dynamite. i really think it's the songs that put it over the top. the second season is also flawless.

although it does have better action and more consistent jokes too. if i were to rank the top 5 episodes of both shows though i bet there'd be like 2 black dynamite and 3 boondocks episodes. i think that might be just because i think i miss a lot of the 70s references. still overall first two seasons vs first two seasons, and we aint counting the last 2 boondocks. black dynamite is still just more consistent.

Boondocks. The characters are more fleshed out, I'm a fan of the laidback style/tone of season 1 and the fukkery of season 2. Boondocks secondary and tertiary characters had more life to em. Plus personally i was reading boondocks strips on the bus in high school so when the show came out i had more of a connection to it, whereas BD came out (damn in 09 time flies ) when i was grown already

Boondocks. I honestly only made it a few episodes into Black Dynamite. I just cant get into that anime style. I gotta pay more attention to it when i revisit. I enjoyed the movie much more than the series.

the movie came out in 09. i'm talking about the animated show that dropped a 10 minute pilot in 2011 and the first season of BD started in july 2012.

i feel you though. idk if you saw past the first season, but the show really goes classic in season 2 imo. i'd check it regardless. thanks for the input though breh.

I gotta go with the first 2 seasons of "The Boondocks". The 1st season of "Black Dynamite" was just aight to me. I didn't appreciate "Black Dynamite" until Season 2 & saw how much better a show it was than that last season of "The Boondocks".

yeah i personally think the first season of black dynamite is the weakest of all four seasons, but i think it's pretty damn strong. i think second season of black dynamite is classic though. above them all. i can't find a weakness.

i'm watching boondocks first two seasons for like a 4th time this week so maybe i might flip.

Oh nah i understood. I was citing my affinity for the source material prior to each show's debut as a contributing reason to why I liked one more than the other. I had more history with boondocks' source material before it's show aired than I did with Black Dynamite's source material before that show aired, and I think that's why I lean towards boondocks...

Basically. Shyt's not close at all. First two seasons of Boondocks are classic not just for comedy but for impact.

black dynamite better overall though, boondocks fell off hard after season 2.
