BlackDroog
All Star
What's up Fellas,
I recently decided, based on a post in the Tunnel a while back, that I was going to start releasing my old stuff. Most of it is sitting around collecting digital dust on a hard drive so I might as well put it out there. Hopefully somebody finds something on it they like. In the least, it will give anybody who likes my current beats an idea of the progression as i learned and developed my style.
I went through all my old beats (hundreds) and picked 5 albums that i felt were "good enough" to publish and not get embarrassed. The ones that made the cut were packaged as the "BlackDroog Archives Volumes. 1-5. Each album has a theme where i experimented with a certain technique.
Volume 1 is called "Disconnected". The concept was that i wanted to make a lot of short tracks to play around with looping and various drum patterns. I tried to keep them all under 2 minutes, but some spilled over a little bit. There are samples, synths and shyt that I don't even remember what/where it came from. some of them are pretty good (to me ).
So if you get a chance, check it out and let me know if you like anything you hear. Feedback is always encouraged and appreciated, but please note that all of these (and any album you see with the BlackDroog Archives" logo) were all made before almost everything that's currently posted to my BandCamp/Soundcloud pages and before everything I have made since joining the Tunnel.
Thanks in advance for the support.
