I'm gonna repost something I said before the other day:

We're drifting into this habit of shyttin on our elders, talmbout how "We ain't our ancestors, we'll beat your ass" type shyt. "Deconstructing" elders and their contributions Talk about how "they need to get out of the way" So they built the foundation you stand on snd now they're in the damn way??? All this shyt is disrespectful as hell, goes against our traditions, and it's NOT COOL.


This is something I was considering before the pandemic, but we really need forums/spaces were we can TALK with our elders on political issues. You're not gonna figure out "why" they voted for him here Me and my pops talk about politics regularly -- We don't see eye to eye on everything but I at least understand where he's coming from.


And again, we NEED that as a community. There is no "Black Agenda" until we find the commonalities among ALL age groups. We gotta grow a collective conscious.​
