Black American men have gotten so used to working for white men, that the mere suggestion or thought of starting our own black businesses ourselves and employing other black people is ridiculous or crazy to most dudes..let that shyt sink in

It's like most black american men can't even fathom 1) working for a boss who looks like them, or 2) employing other ppl who look like them. To them white men are the ones we should go to for employment and that shouldn't change.

nikkas can't picture black men starting businesses together and employing our people, like everyone else does. Wow. It's like they truly believe that working for white men is best instead of trying to create our own businesses and work for other black people...

This is why the overwhelming majority of businesses in black areas across the U.S. are owned by non black men and will stay that way.

nikkas need to snap out of this "the white man's ice is colder" mentality.

How come we're so afraid of doing for self? Creating, employing and spending amongst ourselves.... ?

Depending on ourselves for resources - the way it should be.


How come when these topics are brought up - it causes arguments and insults?


Something is wrong here..... we're the only group who actively doesnt believe in the value of entrepreneurship and job creation.


I get it, it's hard to care about that when you've "already made it" or "got that good job" but the way we talk down and belittle entrepreneurship as if it's something to be ashamed of, is crazy.....



We sit up and talk about whitey all day, meanwhile at any point in time - he could stop writing your checks.


This is the only way to rise in this system.... thru creation and building amongst ourselves.


Cacs know our people are dependent upon them to survive and until that changes, there will be no hashtags or Protests that will make them care about anything until we affect their pockets and start competing and start disrupting their cash flow by building amongst ourselves.

I don't disagree with what he's saying, but at the same time it's not easy to start a business. It's not like you can just think of an idea out of thin air. It's time consuming. And the potential to flop/fail when you first start is pretty high. That's why a lot of people don't go down that route.

Black people aren't afraid. First, black people of America are reactive and not proactive. Cacs would get mad and destroy black people's stuff. Black Wall Street and Overtown are prime examples.

Plus, can blacks start a business and expect support from their own community? Latinos support their businesses, same for Asians and obviously whites.

So it isn't that easy especially if you aren't going to get the support from your own community.

Some of our most bright and capable minds by default will automatically set the heights of their ambition to working for white people en masse for the rest of their lives.

So is it being your own boss or just not working for whitey? Is it owning a lucrative business or just having the bragging rights to say you have your own business regardless of the financial gain? Independence is a rather blurred line when you consider the loans you have to pay back...or the rent you have to pay...or tuition you owe..or the bills you have to pay...or the overhead for the product cost...or the fact that you have to hire employees to work for you...what about thier independence?

What about the millions of white men who work for whitey...do they have independent issues as well? Can the same be said for other races who do the same. What if we do work for black bosses does the fear of self ownership still apply? What makes working for a black man better then working for a white one? Is our race void of greed and selfishness or bias and degradation? My point either way you cut your always working for someone else...and just because we are black doesn't always mean we are better. Thier are many things we as black Americans can do to improve our situation...but choosing to not work for whites is not exactly a game changing tactic. Especially when the ultimate goal for every able body black male is to get legal money and plenty of it...regardless of how you get it. If have the balls to do for self then by all means..open some doors and educate...but if work for some giant corporation and it's CEO is a white man...don't deny fool on your table for foolish pride and silly idealsims that in reality bear no fruit. GET MONEY....THAT SHOULD BE THE MESSAGE...PERIOD.
