The biggest myth in all of politics is that the mainstream media are liberal/anti conservative

Ask yourself this, how many times have you seen mainstream media,both print and cable, going
into urban or dems dominated areas to do interviews and piece about the misunderstood dem voters and how
republicans can and should appeal to them and be compassionate to them to win them over, never is the answer

These types of pieces are exclusively done with conservative audience

Then there's the constant negative reporting on Joe biden,inflation,economy,CRT,cancel culture (NYT even has entire opinion ed section dedicated to the topic) afghanistan etc with almost zero coverage of any dem or biden accomplishment and lack of context when discussing the failures like BBB,voting rights etc

Then there's shyt like this




Just look how quickly the mainstream media moved on from Jan 6, all the passes they give to trump and republicans regarding their association white supremacist, their anti voting rights legislation and measures,voting in unison against bills like child care credit etc

If you watch fox news, there's zero doubt what side they are on, it's exclusively negative reporting and even straight up lying about dems and false propaganda to prop up the GOP, tell me which mainstream news outlet are doing everything possible to paint GOP in a negative light and prop up dems and Biden for the mid terms and 2024 beacuse I would love to see it

Logically, it makes zero sense for mainstream media to be liberal because the CEO's who own the networks and newspapers are billionaires and the notable journalist that work for them are in the top 1 percent tax bracket

Why the fukk would they want dems and Biden who push to raise their taxes to pay for climate change action and social safety nets in power

If there's one thing we know about corporatist, it's that they are greedy,selfish and ruthless and money comes first before anything else, they simply make more money with republicans in power

the only coherent narrative is the monied interest being served. because of money, the mainstream media largely follows the evolution of the democrat party. MSNBC and CNN can be staunchly anti-trump and still end up supporting the same tax cuts that he was in favor of, or they can "otherize" central american migrants while lamenting how trump treated them, or they can be pro BLM while treating anti-defund rhetoric like it is the only sensible position. this is actually politically american liberal down the middle - harm the vulnerable for some corporate benefactor, incrementalism to address the harm, and the occasional sista soulja moment when the cac vote is getting too far away from you while running some pro bisexual BLM segment devoid of material content or structural analysis.
