I oppose this obviously, but I fail to see why you would, and why you would think this isn't the free market at work.
Credit unions can't raise capital like banks can, but they can offer lower rates and fees due to generous tax exemptions. Aren't those tax exemptions distortions in the marketplace?
The tax exemptions aren't distortions in the market place. Keeping the money you earned is NEVER a distortion of anything. Being robbed of it by government is the distortion.
The distortion here is the banks using Obama and his powers to crush their competition.
