Christopher Daniels Reportedly Informs Marko Stunt Of His AEW Departure, Two Reasons Cited - Wrestling Inc.

Marko Stunt is reportedly leaving AEW.

As we’ve noted, Stunt’s AEW future has been up in the air after it was revealed that his contract expires in May, and he hasn’t been on TV in six months now. The speculation continued with Stunt announcing back in January that he is taking indie bookings.

In an update, a new report from Fightful Select notes that Stunt received a phone call from Christopher Daniels last week, representing AEW Talent Relations, and was informed that the company would not be renewing his contract.

It was claimed that Daniels’ cited budget cuts and a large roster as the reason Stunt’s contract is not being renewed.

Nah thats Joey Ryan. He was metoo’d worse than maybe anyone. They dodged that bullet, both him and Marty Scurll were exposed just before aew.

Joey Janela is the dude with the kinda 80s gimmick who backed down from Enzo Amore irl and hangs out with Sonny Kiss a lot.

Lot of trial and error with those initial contracts in 2019. Thankfully they've been successful enough to lure better talent so they can afford to let these contracts expire.
