Somehow it never occurred to you that nobody is "championing" renting as inherently the better option, but rather that because of several other factors, it's the only option for most people.

Rent was cheaper back then though. It’s kinda of hard to do that now that rent is more expensive than average mortgage payment 10 years ago.

I am a home owner myself but I don't see this as a flex. There was a poster here bragging about the same thing, then went on to say that the houses were in Youngstown, OH and El Paso, TX, two of the biggest shyt holes in America. I also see people bragging about being home owners and living in a 1300 SQF house two blocks away from the hood.

STFU because I know what I have read posted on here since the majority of us migrated from Sohh in 2012. Housing prices didn't start ballooning until after the start of the pandemic, so cost wasn't a deterrent to a site full of 6 cert brehs before then...:camby:
