The Avengers Remake Reportedly on the Way (No, Not THOSE Avengers)
StudioCanal is reportedly developing a remake of The Avengers, and it has some big names from Industry and Sex Education attached.

Great news, Avengers fans! There's a reboot on the way! No, not those Avengers – we're talking about a new series take on the popular British spy series. You know, the one that rocks the "The" in its titles? But if you think we're talking about a series take on the Ralph Fiennes & Uma Thurman-starring 1998 film, then we're going to smack you in the back of the head and send you to the back of the class. Of course, we're talking about the '60s television series made popular by Patrick Macnee's John Steed & Diana Rigg's Emma Peel – along with other partners that Steed would have over the course of the series run. Deadline Hollywood is reporting exclusively that StudioCanal (owner of the rights to The Avengers catalog) is developing a new run at the series, with Mickey Down & Konrad Kay (Industry) on board as writers and a pilot script reportedly written. With StudioCanal expected to co-produce with Warner Bros. Discovery production house Wall to Wall, Ben Taylor (Sex Education) is reportedly attached to direct as well as serve as an executive producer. Despite earlier reports that the project was set for HBO, a permanent home for the potential reboot has yet to be determined.
