Anyone check out this flick? I thought it was dope. Ice T did a good job on the film. He came at it from a fans prospective which was dope. Listening to the greats speak about their approach to writing is something I appreciated as a fan. But he totally ignored the South. Only Southern Rapper from the South was Bun.

He could have talked to OuKast or Goodie Mob. But i'm just nitpicking. For any real Hip-Hop fan, this was a good film.

I found it interesting how Em's writing process is technically similar to Rakim's writing process.

He didn't talk to every rapper because he doesn't personally know every rapper. We all know and love some of the classics artists and groups out of the south. Only a herb ass dude is going to actually think everything coming out of the south is garbage, unintelligent. or wack, but Ice-T just doesn't have the relationship with a lot of the southern artists. I'm sure he didn't do it out of spite or something. I mean he didn't feature a lot of the new generation either besides Kanye. Not a slight at them either

This have a limited release? Can't find a showing in Houston.

They had it playing in one theater in DC at a theater that only plays indies so i'm guessing it's a limited release or couldn't find distribution.
