The 49ers of this era are gonna go down as one of the most talented cores to never win the Superbowl

And no rings to show for it . I’m trying to figure out a better historical example.

For example Air Coryell chargers in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s had better offensive talent but defensively it wasn’t close to this. The 1990’s Steelers had better defensive talent(One of the GOAT LB cores/HOF DB) but offensively the 49ers are clearly superior. It’s the combo of offense and defense which makes this unique.

If I’m Kyle I would rather coach Caleb the next 5 years than Brock. The 49ers talent advantage is overblown because a lot of that talent is done or way past their prime. For example Deebo is finished.
