Are these Puro matches all worked out the same way a producer would here in the states or another promotion. shyt seems like a shoot..

Not sure they had a proper "producer" role but most matches were talked and worked by the wrestlers and could get input from others. IIRC in Kohei Wada's (AJPW legendary referee) book he'd talk about Misawa, Kawada and the others going into great details for some spots trying to do callbacks to prior matches. Still, a lot of the actual match was called in the ring as with most matches between veterans in any country/style.

Now, Wada could be working and :duck:for all we know but I think he is one of the few sources we have inside of how they worked in All Japan.

None of this is a shoot though. They just hit very hard because that's the style. The cases of people going into business by themselves are pretty famous, like Akira Maeda with Andre The Giant or Akira Maeda kicking Riki Choshu in the face and fukking up his orbital bone just because he couldn't help being an unprofessional a$$hole :heh:
