Greetings, welcome, 欢迎 to the 2024 edition of your favorite Black website analytics awards thread, the 2024 Coli Analytics Awards. It's been a quick year but the Coli has stayed going strong. Here we collect metrics on the users, posts, and smilies that make coming here worthwhile.

COLI OVERALL EVOLUTION

Let's get to the overall numbers. While there is still a lot of activity, new posts per year continues to drop. Amongst the steepest drops are posts in TLR, the largest forum on the site. In a surprising change, Higher Learning did not have the huge post bump it typically gets in past presidential election years (@FAH1223 ). Maybe bushing certain users for frequent political posting made things less lively?

We still get 3 million new posts per year though so while this is an all-time low, things are going on especially compared to other forums.

COLI ALL-TIME AWARDS

We now get to the all-time user awards. These showcase the most prolific, loved (or most negged) active Coli users based on their entire post history. In a change this year, I am only recording the users that have 100 or more posts in 2024 since previous lists were getting stale and repetitive for inactive or banned users with high reputation or post count occurring repeatedly. I will miss our breh @Imhotep2 who still has the crown of daps per post at 21.6 but breh, you hardly posted lately!!

COLI Join Year Smackdown

We have had 12 years of Coli greatness but which year gave us the best? We already know a bunch of people joined in 2012-2016 but how have their posts been received? Below I show median number of messages per day for users by join year, median daps per post per year by join year and a combined Poster Quality which is the median daps x median messages. It seems 2018 and our youngin' year of 2022 are the most impactful posters. Maybe we should try opening registration again?
