Lamar gotta throw the ball better. His passing skills were at the high school level. I hope he takes the time this off season with Joshua Harris to develop his passing. I'm sick of seeing the unnecessary side arm throws and overall bad decisions.
I heard a good point today about what might be causing some of Lamar's issues throwing. They said he doesn't throw passes in anticipation like every other qb does at some point of the game. He waits until receivers finish their routes before throwing. That split second of him not throwing the ball gives defenders time to react and catch up if they were beat.
He's gotta put the work in, but I'm not sure if it's a lack of confidence in his receivers or him not knowing what routes people are running and throwing when he sees someone get open.
Roman and Harbaugh are to blame for the bad play selection. The passing game coordinator and the qb coach are to blame for Lamar's poor mechanics/technique/fundamentals. DeCosta is to blame for them not spending more on receivers or doing more to bring in guys like DeAndre Hopkins, who they had a chance to get! At the end of the day though, Lamar is a grown man and he's being paid to do a job. On any job, you have guys that are new that don't know shyt, guys that know shyt but can't perform and guys that know shyt can perform and solve the one off problems. Lamar might recognize the shyt, but his performance is lacking as evidenced by his stats in the passing game.
If he doesn't adjust soon, he'll be seeing exactly what teams are doing to him this year for the rest of his career and they won't being winning any championships
