To address the turnover issue. I think the defense is so focused on doing their job and not gambling, they've been coached to not create turnovers. They aren't coached to do their job and cause turnovers. The coaches might be discouraging the players from gambling on turnovers. Might explain why Marlon stopped punching the ball out after having tremendous success doing it that one year. They probably showed him a video of all his missed tackles and extra yardage given up or something when he could've tackled the guy. Alot of Peters interceptions where him baiting the QB...Ed Reed baited alot of QBs too, different era I know, but you have to have some deception and the ability to gamble when getting turnovers unless you're playing against a dumbass QB or a dude that's afraid to throw it because they're "seeing ghost."
As far as the draft, depending on if Ronnie comes back and how the draft falls to them, I think they should target an Olineman, one of the safeties from Norte Dame or a WR in the 1st. Maybe even trade a few of those 11 picks to move up because the draft is not deep at any of their positions of need. Plus, there aren't 11 positions they need to fill on the roster, so all those draft picks are not making the team. In the 2nd round, I'd like to see them draft Zy Alexander the CB from LSU; he's a ball hawking play maker, but has some injury history. Worth the pick in the second IMO.
We might see them package either Marlon or Andrews with some picks before roster bonuses are due to get a player or move up in the draft.
I don't see them getting Khalil Mack or any of the other big name pass rushers in Free Agency. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, the system they have of pass rush by committee has proven to work, so I doubt they ever invest in pass rusher outside of the draft.
