I get all that and it’s all valid, but they desperately need guys who create turnovers and he’s a guy who does that. The rest of the team combined for about 12 takeaways on the entire year. I’m just not on board with giving up a guy who gets his hands on the ball. Every game of the 2012 Super Bowl run saw the team force multiple turnovers and they needed every last possession even with the offense basically not turning it over at all. That’s counts for a lot.
if they're not gonna play him in the slot hes not going to get those turnovers

they only played him there this year because they had to

they want Kyle in that spot

next year hes gonna be back outside getting cooked

I would rather move on now and get the pick and cap space to make other moves

Get a receiver and 2 guys on defense who can generate turnovers so they can actually get a short field for once. They had the 7th worst starting field position in the league this year last I looked. That’s the issue. 1 takeaway in their last 8 playoff games with a ton of drops and fumbles. If the defense has a strong first half for a change against a good team, maybe they don’t have to be flawless in the second half. I’m all about out of optimism for the future though :beli:
Yea I saw that …1 takeaway in 8 or so games smh…Bills had 3 alone in one night ..I thought for SURE we was gonna get at least ONE…
I literally have no words and feeling kinda numb at this point

I hope we bring Ronnie back, but listening to him last night it sounded like he wasn't sure if he wanted to even keep playing. Probably emotional, but we know how banged up he's been over his career.

Would like to get Project Pat back - he's just that valuable as a FB and on the DLine - but if someone like the Chargers (Roman) throws a bag at him, wish him well and KIM.

Stephens can go. I've seen enough.

The others... :manny:

As for Mandrews...whew. He's an all-time Raven, but he had a really bad night at a really bad time. Heart wants him back, but head (especially after seeing the cap impact) might be reconsidering that. Besides, don't know how long Likely's gonna be cool being TE2.

I thought it was clear that Likely was the better TE last season when Mark went down and our offense took off and we didnt lose another game until Mark came back in the AFC championship game

during the span Mark was out Likely led all TEs in catches, yards, and TDs

they shouldve moved on from Mark last year

it never made sense to me using Likely mostly as a blocker this season

he should be featured just as much as Flowers if not more

Andrews will be killed but to me, there are bigger plays you can point to as to why we lost. The most obvious to me is the Lamar fumble. I feel bad for Henry. Should have had an easy 2000 yard season but we "saved" him for the playoffs.
The fumble was early enough it shouldn’t have sank them. They used Henry right and he never wore out so I can’t really complain. The browns loss featured huge dropped passes and a dropped pick to win it. The KC loss literally was the length of a toe away. The Philly loss was on Tucker leaving 7 points on the board. The Steelers loss was on Henry & Likely fumbling while Tucker missed 2 kicks. A few drops and the Andrews fumble kept them from giving Henry the ball more vs Buffalo. Justice Hill is great on obvious passing downs so it makes sense to give him reps too. He always produces for them when he’s out there.

Real talk one of the biggest plays of the game was on the first drive by buffalo after lamar scored on the opening drive, Baltimore had them 3 and 8 and gave up like 25 yd passing play with 2 dudes on the Bills WR in the middle of the field... if they get a stop it would've been gameover for the Bills

The 2006 divisional round vs the colts which was followed by a 5 win season that was filled with injuries to so many key guys that led to Billick being fired unnecessarily, Flacco throwing away the 2008 afc title game, blowing a 21-7 halftime lead in 2010 vs Pittsburgh which ended with TJ Houshmanzadeh dropping the ball on 4th down with the season on the line, giving away the 2011 AFC title game on 3 straight plays, giving away two separate 14 point leads in the second half of the 2014 divisional round vs New England because they never adjusted to play the pass first and take their worst corner and safety off the field, giving up the winning score that ended their season in the final week or two of the season in 2016 and 2017 when either one would’ve clinched a playoff spot if they got a stop, not showing up for 2019 vs Tennessee in the divisional round at home (in 5 playoff matchups between the ravens and titans, the road team is 5-0), losing Lamar to injury down the stretch to sink the season in 2021 and 2022, then last year in the afc title game just deciding to never run the ball.

Outside of 2009 vs Indianapolis (where I really didn’t like the play calling anyway) I can’t think of a single playoff loss in the last 20 years where they didn’t give it away. Every game ends in them doing dumb shyt and blowing it like the 1998 or 2009 nfc title games (sorry to bring them up :francis:. A good friend of mine is a Vikings fan and I’ve never seen a fan of another team so busted up as he was after the 2009 loss).
was billick a good coach? compared to harbaugh?

Yeah he was a good coach. It’s hard to gauge how good exactly because in his 9 years the best they ever had at quarterback was a clearly broken down Steve McNair. He gave regular input on offense, would make changes when he saw shyt wasn’t working, and a lot of his assistants went on to be good coaches. He was the offensive coordinator for the highest scoring offense ever (until 2007 anyway with the 1998 Vikings) having spent most of the 90’s in Minneapolis and then oversaw some of the best defenses ever here including the best ever. He was able to adapt. That’s a big deal.
