We almost always try to fill holes in FA so that we're not desperate during draft night. Rookies always preferable because they are homegrown and cheap, but we need at least one sure proven player on the front seven. Whoever it is, hopefully he can provide some leadership, because I don't know if we really have that in the front seven.
we dont

Brandon Williams was supposed to be that guy but hes been a disappointment this year

with Pierce gone next year they can move B-Will back to NT where he belongs

get rid of Wormley and bring in 2 dlineman that can actually get some pressure on the QB

we all talked about how the ILBs were a weakness but the dline was just as big of a weakness IMO

Pretty much the game right here. And we had 500 total yards on top of that...hard to believe we could only get 12 points out of all that.

This was Lamar's first full season as a starter; I'll bet he'll keep working and be even better next year. Easy to forget he's still just 23. The core is young and talented, too.

That said, a lot went right for us this season and it's unlikely we'll be as lucky next year. I doubt the Steelers are going to be a nonfactor again, Browns have too way much talent to keep stinking, and even the Bengals with Burrow might be a pain. We need to be ready for a competitive A-North again, for starters.

I also think Lamar's greatness this year kind of hid how thin we were depth-wise on O. Without Andrews and Ingram at 100%, we were left with basically 2 blocking TEs, and Snead and Hollywood. So Lamar's forced to play hero ball, which never works, especially in January.

We have cap room for a change, so we can actually get some things done in FA/trades if we want. Hopefully we find a prime Anquan-like physical WR with hands (Allen Robinson?). Shore up the ILB corps (I like Fort, though). Figure out if Judon's a piece; regardless, go get an edge or two (bring Ngakoue home?).

Maybe take a look at that OLine, too - this is 2 years in a row where they've been beat in the trenches when it mattered. Got blown off the LoS on those 2 4th down runs, and couldn't consistently make running lanes. Skura's injury really hurt us there.

Anyway, I'm rambling...still coming to grips with this one. Let's hit this offseason running and keep grinding. :lift:

So I’m thinking the same let all the fa go. Heard we have bout 20 players total going into free agency. I’d love to keep jimmy for the low but man since his foot injury, he’s never played a full health season and he’s 30.

I feel every year we say we need wr’s and we never grab any either in the draft or free agency. That’s gotta change this upcoming season. We gotta go out and try and grab a playmaker for lamar.

Front 7 needs upgrading for sure. We couldn’t rush the qb with just 4. We had a problem stopping any elite rushing teams all year. Chub ran all over us, 9ers, and so did Henry last night.

It’s year 3 for Lamar and I’m expecting another jump for him. People talking shyt but forget, my guys 23 and this was his 2nd season. So these haters can fukk off:pacspit:

Y’all still think harbaugh is the right coach for this team? And how many big games it’s gonna take for him to lose before it’s time for him to be on the hot seat

season over so now we look forward to free agency and the draft :mjcry:

Jimmy,Pierce, and Judon are our only big free agents

i say we let them all walk

Judon wont be worth whatever he gets,I'd rather go after Clowney

Jimmy stay hurt and we already extended Peters

if Cincy doesnt tag AJ Green we should target him along with Clowney

this is a deep ass receiver draft too so we better take 1(2 if we dont sign Green)

draft some dlineman that can actually rush the passer.Wormley bum ass shouldnt be starting next year

draft some interior offensive lineman

get a safety with some speed

we need a speed back too.We got almost nothing out of Justice Hill

Lamar being great this year really did cover alot holes we have but they cant put it all on his back next season

this L hurts but we got a nice young core to work with, just need a few more key pieces

This L hurt more to me because the City (Baltimore) has been struggling with just about everything except the Ravens. We severely need something positive to happen around here.

Didn't mean to hi-jack the thread tho.

Harbaugh should've been removed mid way through last season. The only reason he is still with the organization is because Lamar saved his job going 6-1 and making the playoffs. Harbaugh needs to go. He has consistently made poor decisions in big games the past couple seasons.

I'm not sure what his deal is, but I think at this point, he would have a hard time winning a game with a talent less team.

Not to get off topic, but Flores for the Dolphins had no one to speak of and he still pulled off some big wins during the season. Most notably against New England when they needed the win for seeding purposes. I don't think Harbaugh could do something like that with the same team Flores had.

Harbaugh always manages to come up with an excuse for his bad decisions too like "the analytics."

Ravens had 8 drives end on the Titans 36 yard line or closer Saturday. That's roughly 24 points if he lets Tucker kick those field goals and it's possible, that they win the game easily.

In looking at the game again, it looked like Lamar was not pleased with the game plan and that's even before they were down by 14 points. He looked flat coming out and in warm-ups and even upset at some of the play calling.

Harbaugh is getting in the teams way at this point by not sticking to what this team is known for. Run the damn ball and fukk what everyone else has to say about Lamar's throwing abilities.

Yawl can say what you want about coach of the year for him, but Lamar's competitiveness, his effort and the effort of his teammates won those 14 games more than Harbaugh's coaching/decisions.

Titans still played a hell of a game and Henry bullied the Ravens D, but there were some decisions made and not made that could've changed the outcome of the game.

He's just good enough as long as he has some decent vets. He read his team wrong during the game. He let Roman break away from the run too early. For example, Gus had that one big run and then disappeared. No reason for your two top backs to have less than 10 carries combined when the score was only 14-6 at half time. That's on coach. Over the next few years, as this team grows up a little, I hope the talent and experience can override some of Harbs poor decisions.

For this game, we didn't have the experience and leadership that we had on previous teams to calm shyt down.

Some Edge prospects for the draft that the Ravens could target.

2020 NFL Draft Prospect - Edge Rankings

I haven't looked at much tape on these guys with the exception of Chase Young, which the Ravens have no chance of landing. If Jacksonville lets Yannick walk, he should be the top priority in FA. Young pass rushers typically take time to develop and if they could bring in Yannick as opposed to drafting, which I thought at the time would be a better move, it might help Ferguson develop even faster because he can learn more.
