Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
They do need a backcourt player that can break down the defense + one who can stretch the floor; Evans ain't gonna be much help when George can't get it going and defensives' have collapsed cause they don't have a constant perimeter threat.

The thing is George is primarily a jumpshooter off the dribble right now, he's not really a slasher that can get to the cup at will or really break down a D. You can always find a guy to spot up and shoot the 3, finding someone that can break down a D is a lot more difficult. George is the outside threat that would allow Evans the room to breathe, dude takes nearly 6 threes a game.

If we both agree Evans isn't the 'answer' and neither is Hill - what are you arguing against?

And you use Tyreke as the most/best realistic case in fixing this? :aicmon:

No amount of coverage that George is capable of drawing is gonna cover up Evans' inabilities. The Pacers will be working around the same position, because a) he isn't anywhere close to being an elite playmaker b) he isn't a shooting threat. He doesn't have the right tools, in order for him to keep the defense from collapsing and and/or help-defenders from over-compensating on rotations/hedges etc etc.

I Have Admittedly Not Been Watching Any Pacers Games Lately

What Are They Doing Now That Has Contributed To Their Sudden Winning?

They Are 11-3 Over Their Last 14 Games, Have Won 8 Of Their Last 10, 2 In A Row, Just Beat The Heat, And Are 13-3 At Indiana

And We Have Them Next :merchant:

Paul George

You see what I'm talking about now?

He's the best fit for what's available on the market, you named Eric Gordon which just isn't feasible. What other SGs are on the market that they could get for Granger?

Granger and George do similar things, except that George has room to grow and expand his game plus he is better at creating. What's going to happen in the playoffs with Granger is what always happens to him, he'll get shut down like usual.

Evans would have more room to operate with Hill and George spacing the floor, for all his faults he can get to the rim which is something the Pacers do not have at all. This team is over the cap, they wouldn't be able to sign FA even if they did have space, so the question remains, what is out there that's better than Evans that they could actually get.

Personally, I'd wait to see where Granger fits in the puzzle (Granger could be a 6th man option) before all this trade talk. I named Gordon (with obvious limitations) because he's the type of player they need, not a combo-guard who isn't really effective at anything, besides taking it to the hole. Plus Granger hasn't had a George-caliber type of player (speaking in terms of where he is at now) to gauge his playoff performances. Vogel could continue to use George as the focal point and Granger as the #2 option.

Granger playoffs:

06 - Played 6 games (started only 3) and played a small part in the Pacers system.

11 - Played 5 games (played the #1 seed Bulls and arguably the best defense in the league) and suffered from offensive help. Next best offensive threat on team was Hansborough who shot 11 PPG on 33% and played with a 7fter who avg a measly 6.8 rebounds per game.

12 - Cruised past the Magic and was hampered by an injury through a major part of the Heat series.

I wouldn't attribute his unsuccessful playoff record to him getting shutdown at all.

Dog, you act like The Pacers don't have post threats in Hibbert/West.
