I'd like more info on the few companies that do treat their employees fair (a short list I imagine)

You're probably right. CostCo is one of them, though, as the last few days have shown. Their CEO is actually for increasing minimum wage, and gives even the most basic, entry level workers higher pay than other places and even benefits.

Costco and In-n-out are very selective in who they hire. They just don't hire anybody like McDonald's. CostCo workers bust their asses, and one can tell just by going the store.

I've been to In-n-out in many different cities, and the culture is always the same. Fast working, Friendly, and efficient. The typical lazy ghetto a$$hole couldn't even make it in In-n-out. That's why I never see those types working there.

I worked in the Unionized Stores when I was younger, and we made 20 dollars an hour. We were definitely the highest paid grocery/retail workers. I never worked with such a lazy, self-entitled group of people in my life.

I see people busting their asses at other stores, but where I worked, people just talked to other employees, walked around, Ignored customers, and worked at a snail's place. but Why would they behave? The union made it almost impossible to fire anyone.

Fast forward 10 years, All the union grocery stores in NorCal are falling apart. most are closed down, and the few left have forced their employees to take huge concessions.

I remember a few people tried to go to CostCo, and they didn't get hired. CostCO doesn't want the type of people that worked at the Unionized Stores.
