Well at the end she was working to be a defense attorney because she saw how unfairly people were being treated. They could have her go further down that route by being a lawyer for the crime families or her just breaking bad and taking over the family.

IF he got whacked (which I agree happened). The sequel would be AJ actually going through with committing suicide. Meadow would have then went full Soprano with her lawyer career with Carmela by her side. She would spend her life making sure the people responsible for her dad being murdered in front of her served justice. Sal wouldn't want the boss' job due to it affecting his heath and just being out of the hospital again. Paulie would become the new Boss with the cat by his side on some Vito Corleone shyt. The end.

Watching her father get killed could justify the cold turn. Idk how you justify her getting into the mob and being taken seriously though. Misogyny aside, she’d have to be married to someone important and pulling strings from the outside.
