With topics like that, it'd be better to have someone who studied them or it pertains to their field like health economists, I know they need ratings but c'mon. Don't front like you're an intellectual and then just regurgitate talking points, get emotional when your points are challenged, or just lack substance sometimes which a lot of those guests do nowadays.

I remember in the econ community they were trying to push this The Purple Health Plan | The Purple Health Plan as an alternative to the Affordable Health Care Act since it was so poorly done w.r.t to bending the cost curve for high cost medicare beneficiaries and overall price discovery, (and an example of regulatory capture) but it didn't get anywhere.

Yeah, I like Rachel Maddow but she definitely didn't come off well on that episode. I can understand why she was a bit pissed because dude just kept trying to play gotcha with her on her general worldview instead of debating the issue, but her flummoxed reaction just left her looking silly. She could've addressed his questions then pivoted back to what she wanted to say without getting all emotional.

I dont think she came off that bad, the dudes question was corny and snide, she didn't want to answer cuz she is for single payer
