DC likes to job Darkseid out a lot, but at his peak he was a nasty son of a bytch who made Superman piss his pants. A fight between him and Thanos would come down to their backup. If it's just man to man though, they'll both die of exhaustion eventually because neither one of them is gonna back down

The IG is a glove where these stones of ultimate power (the infinty gems) can be placed to make the wielder omnipotent. each stone controls a certain part of reality like time, space, the mind, etc...
Thanos used it to fukk everybody up in one story, and since then the Marvel Universe has been trying to make sure he can't get his hands on it again.
LOL. Apocalypse has nowhere NEAR the power of Darkseid or Thanos. He can't even stop Cable consistently.
In DC vs Marvel, 5 fights were fan voted. Batman vs Captain America, Superman vs Hulk, Storm vs Wonder Woman, Spider Man vs Super Boy, and Lobo vs Wolverine. Doesn't take a genius to figure out who won the majority of those in popularity contests. The other fights were split down the middle by the editors. Magneto sat that one out
But for SOME reason, he got his own spinoff book when they turned into Amalgam in the aftermath

Smh I always thought Apocalypse was one of the most powerful Marvel characters but just suffers from inconsistent writing. Theoretically given his powerset Apoc should be unfukkwithable by anything but a celestial. I remember dude even bodied Loki once, took down the x-men in ~20 seconds, even threw the Hulk easy, but then can never win shyt in the long run. Still my favorite mutant though.

The thing with Apocalypse is this...his powers are supposed to be molecular control. That's Molecule Man stuff. Now if he really had that kind of powerset, he would be as powerful as a herald of Galactus but he isn't. He can shape shift, augment his size, power blasts, crazy strength that once held the Hulk in check, and he's always been ultra intelligent. He's VERY powerful and he's no fukking jobber or anything like that but the only X-villains who would give Thanos some trouble are Dark Phoenix or Onslaught.
Apocalypse should be a HUGE villain of not only the X-Men but the Fantastic Four and the Avengers. He has the history and the range for it. But I always thought Sebastian Shaw and Sinister would also be great villains in the Avengers, FF, and Spider-Man portions of Marvel.
It happened in Acts ov Vengeance I think.....don't think he really owned him though. He had a good showing against the High Evolutionary too once....

DC had doomsday shrug off his omega beams, beat that nikka's ass, then drag him across his own planet. i'm not that familiar with marvel comics but from what i've heard about thanos i assume they'd never let him get embarrassed like that
