You ever think that basically Mobb Deep and Dogg Pound are two sides of the same spectrum. each of their music genre is more popular in their respective areas and are heavily in the sound of those areas. They're both connected to a rapper bigger than them (Nas/Snoop) and they have their smaller entourages (LBC Crew/Infamous Mobb). Then you got the Tragedy Khadafi/Warren G who have their protégés (CNN/Tha dove shack). You got one member of each group that can produce (Havoc/Daz) and one who are Goat rapper (Prodigy/kurupt). then theres other rappers from QB and long beach. This might be a stretch for some.
