Put him on blast Sylvester!

During the hurricane, Abbott blamed Democrats in Houston for delayed responses.

During the pandemic, Abbott blamed Democrats in Houston and Dallas for the mandates.

During the homeless crisis, Abbott blamed Democrats
/Socialists in Austin.

During the Dallas crime spree, Abbott blamed BLM/Democrats in Dallas.

During the covid crisis & wildfires, he blamed the far-left in NY/CA.

This pos is a slickster who likes to take credit for the good (economy) and blame everyone else when things go haywire.

Its interesting how certain political people came out with their talking points and they're usually lies or misinformation then the truth comes out later.

I just saw that Tucker Carlson was pushing the wind turbine thing last night. Also saw our political shills here pushing it. Then more information comes out and it's other shyt, as always.

Yeah that right wing disinformation network moves fast to get in front of news.
But even Ted Cruz hit the :hubie:

For reference, he was mocking Cali months ago.....

People in Texas need to conserve energy, there isn't enough energy to meet the demand. People in Texas will be faced with blackouts until the weather conditions improve and demand drops. That being said, get to a hotel if you can and ride this out till its over. Stay safe!

Conservation shouldn't be on individual homes though. Houston down town was lit the fukk up for 20% of in-office workers or some shyt. Everyone shoulda been home in the first place. A sky scraper takes enough energy to supply a small neighborhood.

These outages are NO joke...a woman and her kid already died from carbon monoxide poisoning sitting in the car for warmth.

I'm hella grateful I'm living in Michigan. Sure it gets cold...but I can't remember when MILLIONS went without power due to bad weather. The Polar Vortex in 2014 was even colder and MORE snow didn't knock out power in Detroit.

The cold will turn the acid in the battery thick which will make it much harder for the starter to start the car. After a while the energy cells in the battery will completely lose their charge and given how cold it is the alternator and the starter won't be strong enough to bring it back without an outside force to give it a boost aka a jump start.

Old boy has no idea what he is talking about, you should definitely run your car at least 10-20 minutes just to keep the battery from dying, otherwise you gonna be trying to jump it in the freezing cold weather.
This is the whole reason batteries are rated for CCA= cold cranking amps

On the downtown building you have to acknowledge that some of those building store servers or other business essentials that might impact the work that someone needs to do. So turning off the building power might cause some intended consequence. It's difficult to know which of those skyscrapers are essential and not.

I highly doubt that servers of that importance don't have backup/auxiliary power in the event of a major shut off or outage. But office lights? Heating? etc..nah.
