Termite control for Homeowners

So decided about 3 months ago to stop wasting money with this big brand pest control companies and do the work myself. I figured all they doing is coming out and spraying, I can do that myself easy.

my termite control contract ended that the previous owner had, so I was curious to see how much they charge for treatment for termites. they quoted me $600-$800 for them to spray Termidor and annual $170 renewal.

I check online and I can buy Termidor myself for $69.95!

my question is, do some of ya'll do this yourself or hire a "professional"?
is there something I'm missing to justify the massive markup?
