Tequila is responsible for at least half the violence in Mexico

Has anyone ever done a study on the effects Tequila on Mexican society? Every time I've drank Tequila I've done something stupid that could have resulted in my death or someone elses. It seems to put the animal part of you brain on overdrive and completely inhibits the frontal cortex.This never happens with any other kind of liquor. I can only imagine that in a nation of Tequila drinkers it isn't far fetched to say that it is, directly or indirectly, responsible for at least half the terrible news that emanates from that country.

I don't know about Mexicans...

But there is scientific evidence that suggests that the way Native Americans metabolize alcohol increases their risk of alcoholism...

A very good friend of mine is Native American...When he is sober, dude has a lot of sense, but when he is drunk, he picks fights, breaks other people's property and all other kinds of silly behaviour...

And me, NO MATTER how drunk I am, my sense of inhibition is still very high...I am still aware of risky behaviour...I will never rape a girl, initiate a fight (because I know I will probably get killed or severely injured, fighting with no balance and co-ordination)...

Alcohol has been destroying Native Americans since the Europeans introduced it to them...

It's funny how alcohol is LEGAL, considering how damaging it is to the Native Americans, but weed is illegal, just because some European says so...

Mexico Violence: Severed Heads Found By Highway

MEXICO CITY, July 3 (Reuters) - Authorities have found seven severed heads stuffed in plastic bags on the edge of a highway near the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco state prosecutors said on Wednesday.

The gruesome discovery about 25 miles (40 kilometers) from the country's second-biggest city is a reminder of the criminal violence still plaguing Mexico, despite assurances from the government that the murder rate is falling.

More than 60,000 people died in violence linked to warring drug cartels during the 2006-2012 presidency of Felipe Calderon. An average of 1,000 people per month have been killed under his successor, Enrique Pena Nieto, who took office December.

Jalisco, the home of tequila and mariachi music, has been hard hit by the ongoing violence. Murders were up more than 5 percent during the first five months of this year compared with the same period a year ago, according to Mexican police.

The bodies of two schoolboys suspected of bullying the son of a powerful drug trafficker were found in Jalisco this week.

LMAO at the evidence.

One the rare times I go out now I start the night with 3 shots of tequila back to back, and then i ride the wave with Rum and coke for the rest of the evening. And i'm always calm cool and collected.

The only time i've gotten crazy and almost faught someone was after going through a rather large bottle of E&J with a cousin by ourselves one thanksgiving...i'm told we fought...neither one of us remembered anything the following morning... ....
