NYC woman threatens Telemundo news crew as crooks run off with $25,000 in camera gear
A pair of crooks swiped $25,000 in camera equipment from a Telemundo news crew after an unhinged woman interrupted their broadcast at a Bronx train station, police said Thursday.
The Spanish-language news crew was setting up their shot on Southern Blvd. and E. 174th St. in Crotona at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday when the woman stormed over and knocked over their camera, cops said.
The camera crew moved across the street back to the van but the woman followed them, officials said.
Not wanting to cause a confrontation, the crew jumped into the van and drove off ā leaving a camera, tripod and other equipment behind.
When they came back around the block, they saw two men walking off down the street with their pricey equipment.
There have been no arrests.
