I'd like to see some only tekken players pick up a 2D title and see if they can get to the highest rank playing S tier though. would show us a few things

Once upon a time that would be considered a flex... not with this Tekken.. not with this ranking system.. you dont even need an S tier to pull it off.. just a simple understandingof how to exploit cheese.. you will eventually get to the highest rank.. you dont even truly get punished for getting demoted because you get promoted way past that point just for winning the next fightI'll be carried

seems like it should be more than a couple thousand people worldwide if its that simple.
dead ass only char I think is super carry is like Alisa because I've fought dozens of them in higher ranks and they all have 0 idea how to play beyond cheese.
and i meant a tekken only dude playing gg or sf and getting master or whatever, since all it takes to be good at a game is to tier whore

That stat you always bringing up doesn't encompass everyone.. some people play Tekken just for fun and don't focus on ranking up.. some stay in the player matches cause you can play more than a 1st to damn 2.. some players avoid it all together cause of the sweat and desperation cheese..you say that but TGS/GoD is literally top 99.5% of the player base

Knowing how to play doesn't really matter for what im saying.. you can know how to play and you're still carried by your character because of how your character was designed.. There's a reason why there is 350 Clives world wide at GoD already and Asuka only about 150...
There's 36 plus characters in this game and most have 200 or more at GoD... thats more than a couple thousand.. is more close to 10k which is an insane amount already capped in rank.. way more than any Tekken prior
The nikka @Consumed prolly got about 20 characters at TGS or GoD right now
and he will tell you himself he is an avg to good player on the grand competitive scale

There was never at any point in time this many omegas in 7 as there are god of destruction’s now
Another thing that is carrying players is chip damage, it’s nikkas who just chip you to death then do 2 pokes and you dead, and they be thinking they nice
I really hope season 2 does a major change

Well yeah I mean its always somebody better than you. When i boxed I thought I was nice but compared to them real killers who had pro aspirations I was ass and food. same here, I can still be happy about my personal improvement and realize I got better hands than 99% of the pop still. its just that last 0.05% is so mutant tier it makes everyone else look horrible lol.
I think ya'll viewing this from a purely tekken perspective which makes sense but I will tell you its nothing in this game as polarizing as zero, morridoom, top tiers in smash, 1.0 koko in blazblue, nu calamity trigger...I could go on forever. Ya'll just have had it too good for too long apparently lol. 2d games FULL of nonsense that would make ya'll quit in 2 days.
I hope Season 2 takes a lot of the bullshyt away too don't get me wrong. less shenanigans is right up my alley because I'm not a gimmicky player by nature I've rather just outplay nikkas.

as annoying as some of the situations in this game is ya'll could play umvc3 for a full year and still be completely lost against a vet just by the fact the game is insanely unforgiving to folks who don't know whats hannin. don't even get me started on guilty gear. I'd knocked you down once and you simply are not getting back up after that

THATS THE POINT it became much easier to do vice versa.. That shyt became possible with this new modern style of "help out scrubs" Tekken back in T7 using characters like Shaheen.. Like Claudio.. like all the DLC characters.. So because that game exceeded expectations in sells what they did in T8 is streamline helping scrubs out and sorry nikka Tekken into 95% of the cast so now you got nikkas like Jin, Kaz, n Kuma doing one button electrics no execution required anymore with a side of chip damage.. guard breaks pokes into mixup cheese etc..Hell I probably wouldn't have even sniffed GoD last year if Asuka didn't have the unblockable tech trap and charged safe rage art.. even with that she still C tier I kept going cause it was a challenge..

Compared to the rest of the cast, You got Steve Fox, Raven, Paul to an extent.. Devil Jin.. Lee.. Leo
Honestly Jack because he "feels" like you're playing traditional Tekken cause of his pokes.. pokes that don't lead into free 50/50 mixups.. he has the forward both kicks(that can be stepped) that on hit leads into a crouch throw and df4 kick on counter hit that leads into a crouch throw.. 10f heat smash that's pretty useful thats about it as far as anything ridiculously cheap. outside of that it's an uphill battle vs the rest of the cast's cheese
