So I was reading a guy from Forbes I like to read and he has an article about how this film started and is responsible for the current comic book movie boom and he mentioned the 25th anniversary and I'll be damned, today is the 25th anniversary.

I still remember seeing this on opening weekend and somewhere in my house, there's a picture of four year old me and "Leonardo" who graciously let me hold his katana as the cats at AMC took the picture. I dragged my mom to see this movie so many damn times and truthfully it just makes me miss her a whole lot but this is definitely the movie I've seen the most times in my life and it still holds up today.

This is my favorite trailer ever. No contest

So let's talk about this landmark flick

Breh... I just got it off the shelf for tonight's anniversary viewing. :wow:

That taste of popcorn and goobers will always remind me of that night :blessed:

The goat movie. My favorite movie of all time. :wow: :mjcry:
They'll never make another ninja turtle project as good as the og movie.

I got the bluray so I'll pop that in later.

Didn't realize this year was the 25th... Bought this and the sequel on Blu-ray and watched them a few months back.

First one still holds up. Man, I remember seeing this movie and getting the soundtrack on cassette, the comic book adaptation and the Scholastic book adaptation. Good times. :banderas:

Guys in rubber suits >>>>> CGI

How is this movie responsible for the boom when Batman came out a year earlier? :what:

I had the novel based on the movie and read that shyt over and over again comparing it to the movie that I watched over and over again :dead:.

still holds up, such a good film. gritty, dark, good cinematog, and not to mention you actually care about the characters, the feels :mjcry:

This. I loved the movie as a kid but I can actually appreciate it even more now. That had to be the most realistic portrayal possible. They nailed it.
