Obviously battled some injuries this year, so it's grading what you've seen of him at full strength. I've heard it argued that, allegedly he'll be in for a rude awakening when he leaves Cincy abd has to be a full time #1. There are those who don't believe he can shoulder the burden of elevating a pass offense, or being THE primary gameplan for a defense week in, week out....
I disagree with those people, I think he's a Top 10 receiver or at least close to it, and I think he could ramp his game up even more if he was a #1. But I'm interested in what yall think!
Personally, he's only a #2 in Cincy because of who his teammate is. Outside of Cincinnati and Minnesota and Miami, how many other teams would he be a #2 on? I think he's right there wherever you have Brown, St Brown, Lamb, or Collins at. Higgins is a Top 10 receiver as is, you could probably argue for Top 5...
Bonus question, if you're running the Bengals, do you give him the bag or do you let him walk? I think it's clear that with Iosivas' emergence, the Bengals will pet him walk, as it at least "appears" that Iosivas can be a productive #2. The money they would pay Higgins can be funneled towards their offensive line and defense...
What argument would you make for retaining Higgins? Again think about this from a GM perspective!
