Top Dawg Entertainment has a new artist on their roster. The West Coast based label has signed rising singer and rapper Doechii
Doechii (previously known as Iamdoechii) started making music in 2015, initially earning popularity online with her song ‘Girls’ where she showcases both her singing and rapping abilities. Last year was pretty big for the Tampa bred artist who gained new audience with the help of ‘Yucky Blucky Fruitcake’ which blew up on TikTok.
Doechii cites Lauryn Hill, Kanye West, Pharrell, OutKast and Nicki Minaj as her main influences and has already appeared on Isaiah Rashad’s song ‘Wat U Sed‘ from his sophomore album The House is Burning last year. HDD reports that she’s a hot contender for a distribution deal from a major label to help out with TDE’s machine.
