There's a successful game soundtrack in America? Wow!
Electronic Arts announced that the first soundtrack under the EA Sports Trax label,
NBA Live 2003 has gone certified platinum. Selling well over one million units since its appearance in August of 2002.
"EA is committed to delivering the best music in the industry within our games," said Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music for Electronic Arts. "The success of the
NBA Live 2003 soundtrack shows that we are connecting with our fans."
Could this be the beginning of a new trend in popular videogame soundtracks here in America? Only time, and IGN, will tell. Stay tuned.
