Accountants...which is the best career path out of the 3. Highest income potential more rewarding job to do? Most or least stressful? I know advisory requires more interactions with clients and more travel

it's all based on your personality.

Tax pays better but not by much. audit and adviosry travel a lot. tax is more in the office.

audit people are more outgoing. tax is more for the introverted.

I cant do tax. I hate it. From what I can tell, I think you are more of an Audit person.

I'm going w/ the tax route because of the travel. Want to start a family in the future and might use the knowledge to open my own practice/firm:win:

Thanks I'm guessing hours are similar? I'll do more research on these areas and see what fits my personality best

If you had a GPA above 3.3, i'd hire you. You seem to be an enthusiastic person. From your politics, i can tell you aren't self entitled and may have a good work ethic.

Make sure those characteristics show up on your resume. good luck! Aim for the Big4

This is a little too optimistic

Depends on if he's at a target school or not but I know big four firms want higher GPAs than that

Op ask your career services about that

First get into Audit to finish your CPA. After that you can easily transfer to tax or advisory as long as you are a good worker.

Big 4 :myman:

Overall 3.6 business core 3.9 gpa so far. One c+ and all As and one A- last semester back. I'm 29 getting my accounting degree and should be out by 14. Would they look at me in a negative light when hiring due to my age?

I mean its not like we will be 50, i'm hoping its a plus since we will have a maturity and life experience edge. But i'm guessing its all in the interview and how you present yourself and what connections you make. Many people think i'm 21 anyway

i'll be at 152 credits when i graduate but i will have to double check that...if im not at 150 i will at least be at 135

i wouldn't even graduate from grad school just take enough shyt to hit 150 and bounce.

to me, CPA>>>>>

From a guy I talked to if you have the opportunity to get your MBA while still in undergrad do it. It'll make your life a lot easier as far as earning power is concerned out of school.

Me personally, I'm applying to the dual BBA/MBA program at my school at the end of this semester provided that I don't screw up. 150 credits and get your Bachelors, MBA and the end and be eligible for the CPA exam. If you have that option, go for it.
