I thought it was the actor who plays him because he was unlikeable in Barbershop 3, but seeing more of the daughter on the show tells me that it's the writing.

On a show where you got a lot of people that it's easy to hate, it's crazy that the kids are the most hated.

Alot of people felt the same way about Flynn from Breaking Bad. Its just an emotional investment in the lead character good or bad........ By the end of the last season, no one felt bad for Walt or what happened to him.....but they still hated his son's character. I recently saw a movie with him in it.....and was turned off just because he was in the movie........
