I mean somebody gotta trademark it :yeshrug:

So how does it work? If you can't present paperwork proving you are FBA and you use the term in some sort of marketing, you have to pay Tariq a percentage or he can sue you? Meanwhile if you have paperwork proving you are FBA it's fair use?

When ever these dudes say "But but but it's a lineage"....I'm gonna reply, "No it's not, it's a trademarked business." :heh:

African American is trademarked

The deflection is strong with this one.

You and I both know that there was always a recoil against that term. We all heard the response of "I'm not no African American because I'm not from Africa" by a good portion of Black people ever since that term became popular in 1988.

Had Ice Cube repeating the incentive on the 1992 song "When Will They Shoot", 4 years after Jesse Jackson had the government recognizing the term African America to identify us:

"Callin' me an African-American
Like everything is fair again, shyt
Devil, you got to get the shyt right

I'm black, blacker than a trillion midnights"

You know damn well our generation relates more to the term "Black" over "African American" so let someone copywrite that all they want. ("Afro American" isn't copywritten tho)

Also, African-American is mostly used by non Blacks when attempting to be politically correct when addressing us.

Smart people trademarked anything African related in 2014

You know the year that the UN declared the start of the decade for International people of African descent
