Tariq and his minions were taking shots at Joe for years and Joe was ignoring it. Math Hoffa asks him about it in an interview and he finally addresses it and calls Tariq and his minions broke radicals and now there is an uproar because Joe fired back after ignoring all those shots at him for years. Even got you saying it isn't his business for firing back after being shot at for years.
Question:
Who fired first? Did Tariq call out Fat Joe, or did Fat Joe call out Tariq?
The reason this matters is that if Fat Joe initiated the conflict, he shouldn't have; it was none of his business. Regardless of who started it, he has gone too far at this point.

So it started when Joe lied about the origins of hip hop. He knew exactly what he was doing and the response he would get. He wasn’t picked on; he low-key—very low-key—started a war. Public figures should focus on what really matters instead of getting caught up in petty fights. Joe should direct this attention to help his own community.

But once Tariq started going left and doing things like questioning why Joe was hosting the Hip Hop BET awards that's when Tariq started mixing his personal diaspora war in it. Fat Joe has been on Rap City since the mid 90's and is a member of DITC.....questioning why a legendary rapper is hosting the Hip Hop BET was Tariq making it about ethnicity when Hip Hop embraces all, there is no diaspora war in Hip Hop. Fat Joe hosting the Hip Hop BET awards has diddly squat to do with the origins of Hip Hop. And that's just one example of Tariq going left from the whole 50/50 claim Joe was doing.
